The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere located in Waterloo, IA, you will...

  • Sustain existing and develop new data/technology tools in support of team objectives
  • Provide support to team initiatives for successful introduction of new products to the factory
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams - operations, quality, material flow, design, and others - to drive concurrent engineering


This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
  • Graduation date of May 2026 later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work during 16-20 hours/weekly during the academic year
  • Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hour/ weekly
  • Must be able to commute to the work location as needed
  • Data Science, Data Analytics, IT, Manufacturing Tech, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering; others may apply

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
