We are hiring a Principal for Strategy & Planning on our TruIQ Analytics Enablement Team. The Strategy & Planning role at TransUnion is accountable for corporate reporting for the line of business, strategic projects focused on effective organizational design, operational excellence, cross-functional process improvements, and business planning initiatives.
This leader will be responsible for both helping develop long-term, solution-driven strategies to meet TransUnion’s growth and profitability objectives, as well as driving business analytics and insights globally, across credit risk solutions. They will be primarily focused on building and stewarding the implementation of the Analytics Enablement Solutions overall strategic 3-year plan, revenue forecasts, and corporate (Board, CEO) reporting.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably from top-tier university

  • 10+ year experienced practitioner in the SaaS/PaaS and/or analytics space; 3+ years at a consulting firm is a plus.

  • You are great at strategic planning and have experience leading large programs and initiatives from your days as a strategic consultant or business executive.  

  • You have scaled teams and driven significant growth for a variety of organizations.

  • You thrive at creating partnerships in matrix organizations.

  • You’re a motivator, encouraging people to take on new challenges.

  • You can execute.  You manage through change and ambiguity to deliver successful outcomes.

  • Relevant Experience & Knowledge. You understand the analytics enablement and credit risk solutions landscape and use that knowledge to foresee challenges and areas of risk for the business and proactively address them.

They’re always thinking about what’s next and how they can best assist sales to get a deal across the finish line and are comfortable and skilled at navigating through a matrixed organization.

  • Top Notch Communication Skills.  Must be strong communicators both in person and through emails and must be comfortable running meetings. Skilled at creating concise and strategic presentations for senior executives.

Impact You'll Make:

TruIQ Analytics Enablement Solutions are a suite of SaaS/PaaS solutions that are at the cutting edge of product innovation at TransUnion.  Leveraging the functionality and capabilities coming online as part of our modernization effort, with TruIQ Analytics Enablement Solutions we aim to fundamentally change how customers interact with and experience TransUnion. 

This role monitors new technologies, data, and use cases across products and regions to identify connections, risks, and opportunities for Analytics Enablement Solutions. It uses these insights to shape and test long-term growth strategies, and is also responsible for preparing or reviewing business cases and financial models to support investments and measure value.

  • Lead global Analytics Enablement prioritization and own the strategic 3-year plan.

  • Coordinate team forecasts and finalize financial plans with Market partners, identifying key investment areas.

  • Manage processes and strategic initiatives for Analytics Enablement Solutions, including monthly reviews and corporate presentations.

  • Assist strategy projects by setting measurable goals and tracking progress with functional leaders.

  • Collect market intelligence on trends, consumer behavior, regulations, innovations, and competitors to refine product and go-to-market strategies.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $150,100.00 - $225,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
