We’re looking for a Principal Business Development Sales Manager to drive the growth of our Air & Water portfolio—including HVAC products, water heaters, disposals, and water treatment solutions—throughout the Canadian market.
In this strategic role, you will collaborate closely with regional Area Sales Managers (ASMs), national accounts, and distributor partners to uncover new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic growth efforts across Canada by identifying and capturing new business opportunities at the regional and national levels.
- Partner with Area Sales Managers to co-develop and execute effective territory and account strategies.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline by developing relationships with distributors, third-party representatives, and OEMs.
- Present and train on GE Appliances Air & Water products to highlight their value in a competitive marketplace.
- Use data and insights to inform sales strategy and achieve product-specific sales targets.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers—resolving issues, delivering value, and building long-term trust.
- Travel frequently within the territory—expect 50%+ travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of outside sales experience in HVAC and/or plumbing products through distributors, third-party reps, or OEMs.
- Demonstrated ability to approach challenges with creativity, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Success in building growth strategies and navigating multi-channel sales models.
- Strong skills in communication, presentation, organization, and negotiation.
Work Location & Schedule
- This is a remote position based in Canada. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance to a major airport and be able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
- Relocation assistance is not available.
- This role will include at least 50% travel
