Our Mission

Rebuild how the world works, to make institutions work better for the people they serve.

About Brain Co.

Brain Co. builds AI-native operating systems for large, regulated institutions. Each system is built for a specific industry, powered by agents that push real workflows forward. Underneath it all is Atlas, our proprietary platform that keeps customers in control, secure by design, and never locked into one model.

Why Now

Brain Co. is entering its next phase of production deployments on a national scale with an elite team built from Palantir, Google, Meta, and Nvidia, and a growing footprint across government, insurance, health, and financial services.

Joining now means shaping both the company and a new category of applied AI. Every project here ships to production and is expected to create measurable customer value and impact.

You'll work alongside exceptional peers on some of the hardest problems in applied AI. It’s the kind of work you'll still be proud of in ten years from now.

About Brain Co.

Brain Co. is an applied AI startup co-founded by Jared Kushner and Elad Gil, and backed by leading Silicon Valley builders including Patrick Collison and Andrej Karpathy.
We are building AI applications for the world’s most important institutions, delivering impact on real-world problems across governments, healthcare systems, and critical industries.
Our progress so far:

  • Automated construction permitting for a sovereign government → 80% faster, unlocking $375M+ in value

  • Optimized supply chains for a leading global energy company → 30% lower cost, 99% reliability, preventing $100M+ in losses

  • Streamlined hospital patient care across national health systems → 40% better outcomes, 80% less admin work

Company momentum:

  • Raised a $55M Series A from leading investors

  • Built a team of 70+ AI experts from Tesla, Google DeepMind, NVIDIA, and Databricks

At Brain Co., we focus on applying frontier AI to real institutional challenges, working alongside governments, healthcare systems, and critical industries to modernize how essential services operate.
We are looking for leaders who want to help bring new technology into institutions that impact millions of people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute AI Diligence: Conduct deep-dive assessments of target companies’ AI strategies, data infrastructure, and technical maturity. Synthesize findings into clear, business-oriented insights on opportunities, risks, and value creation potential.

  • Sponsor & Client Management: Partner with engagement lead to manage private equity and corporate sponsor relationships. Prepare materials, manage workstreams, and contribute to client-facing presentations and deliverables.

  • Bridge Strategy & Technology: Translate complex AI/ML capabilities into actionable recommendations for investment committees and portfolio executives, working closely with senior team members to refine and deliver strategic narratives.

  • Contribute to Value Creation Plans: Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to scope, prioritize, and define AI solutions within sponsor-backed assets — supporting commercial outcomes and technical feasibility assessments.

  • Drive Execution: Own discrete workstreams within diligence engagements, managing day-to-day execution from research through deliverable production with high analytical rigor.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 2-3+ years of professional experience.

  • Background in top-tier consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG), private equity, and/or AI technology companies preferred.

  • Startup or high-growth operating experience preferred; comfort with ambiguity and moving fast.

  • Experience contributing to complex diligence processes, strategic analysis, or technical evaluation processes.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong technical literacy in AI/ML, with the ability to evaluate data pipelines, model strategies, and infrastructure at a high level.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to turn complex analyses into clear insights.

  • Executive-level communication; proven ability to influence senior sponsors, investors, and portfolio executives.

  • Low-ego, hands-on operator who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

  • Commercial instinct and ownership mindset — capable of connecting AI opportunities directly to value creation.

  • Must be in SF or willing to relocate (hybrid 3 days/week in office)

Why Join Us

  • See inside dozens of companies per year across sectors, building pattern recognition in AI strategy that’s impossible to get in a single-company role.

  • Work directly with deal teams and portfolio executives at the most prestigious PE firms, gaining exposure to investment decision-making at the highest level.

  • Develop deep expertise at the intersection of AI and private equity—a niche with rapidly growing demand and very few experienced players.

  • Earn competitive compensation + meaningful equity.

  • Join a small, high-impact team where your work directly shapes investment outcomes and AI strategy for major portfolio companies.

If you want to sit at the frontier of AI and private equity — working with the most prolific investors in the world and learning at an unparalleled rate — Brain Co. is the place to build.
