About the role

As a (Senior) Product Data Analyst at DataCamp, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining world-class client reporting capabilities. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, you will ensure that our customers understand the value of our platform by making it easy for them to accurately track how their users are leveraging and improving their skills using DataCamp. You'll be deeply involved in working with the product and customer success teams to optimize our client reporting portal, data connectors (APIs), and internal dashboards.
You will influence changes by bringing data to the table and promoting data-driven development and decision-making. To be successful, you will need to collaborate with a strong team of software engineers, data scientists, data engineers, product managers, and customer success leaders. You will get to do all of this while leveraging DataCamp's rich data and state-of-the-art data science infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses on how our external and internal B2B clients use our reporting tools and services, providing improvement recommendations to the product management team.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive internal reports and dashboards for the customer success team to monitor and identify opportunities for our clients.
  • Ensure high data quality standards by maintaining accuracy and consistency across internal dashboards and client product reporting tools.
  • Keep our internal documentation, like data dictionaries, up to date and continuously provide recommendations on existing and new metric definitions to ensure our customers can easily use and find value in the data we provide.
  • Partner with the customer success and learning solutions teams to work on key accounts by attending meetings to help gather requirements, explain our data and present insights to customers.
  • Mentor and support team members in analytics best practices, raising the analytics IQ of the customer success and product teams.

Qualifications

  • Has 3+ years of experience in product, client reporting analytics or a related field.
  • Has strong storytelling skills with a track record of presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Is highly skilled in SQL and has 2+ years of experience using BI Tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Can easily connect analytics solutions to business outcomes.
  • Has strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to come to rigorous and defensible solutions to complex and open-ended problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Has a passion for DataCamp’s mission of data and AI literacy.
