Robots & Pencils is seeking a Product Manager, Agentic AI to drive the development and deployment of cutting-edge Agentic and Generative AI solutions for our most strategic enterprise clients.

In this role, you’ll act as a hands-on, outcome-oriented leader, embedding directly with client teams to ideate, prototype, and scale intelligent products that transform their businesses. You’ll partner across engineering, design, and customer leadership to ensure that every solution delivers measurable impact, user value, and long-term scalability.

This position combines product management expertise and software engineering fluency, requiring a comfort level with code, AI tools, and fast-moving innovation environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Development
  • Partner with clients to define vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes for Agentic and Generative AI applications.

  • Lead the full product lifecycle — from ideation and prototyping to deployment, adoption, and scaling.

  • Translate customer needs into actionable product roadmaps and technical requirements.

  • Leverage your software engineering expertise (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript) to rapidly build and iterate on prototypes and features.

Client Engagement & Delivery
  • Serve as a technical thought partner for client stakeholders, guiding them through application design, testing, and optimization.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive and technical teams to ensure project success.

  • Provide strategic guidance to maximize the business impact and time-to-value of deployed AI solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and client partners to deliver high-impact outcomes across industries.

AI-Enabled Product Excellence
  • Utilize AI-native tools and workflows (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Zed) to accelerate prototyping and delivery.

  • Employ software agents for planning, research, and execution to boost team productivity and innovation velocity.

  • Champion data-driven product development, ensuring AI integration aligns with user needs, ethics, and reliability standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work alongside public sector and enterprise teams to align strategy, architecture, and roadmap priorities.

  • Participate in design reviews, roadmap discussions, and sprint planning to ensure cohesive delivery.

  • Contribute insights to platform evolution and emerging best practices for AI-driven development.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering or technical product management experience, ideally in client-facing environments.

  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

  • Strong understanding of cloud deployment models (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, Terraform).

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver customer outcomes using LLMs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, AWS Bedrock).

  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences.

  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to scale.

  • High ownership, speed, and adaptability in dynamic, ambiguous environments.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Vercel AI SDK, AWS Strands Agents, LangChain / LangGraph, or Hugging Face SMOL agent frameworks.

  • Background in NLU architecture, chatbot frameworks (e.g., AWS Lex), or AI evaluation systems.

  • Familiarity with distributed systems and performance optimization.

  • Previous experience building or integrating Agentic AI systems or intelligent assistants.

Personal Competencies

Ownership – Drives outcomes end-to-end and ensures customer success from ideation to deployment.
