Job Title: Product Manager – Reporting
Reports To: SVP - Product
About the Job:
atVenu is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive the growth of our Reporting offerings. The ideal candidate will immerse themselves in the event industry and leverage their data and analytics expertise to build mission-critical operational and business reporting tools our customers rely on every day.
You’ll manage the full product lifecycle, with proven ability to gather requirements from different stakeholders, prioritize features and work with our business and development teams to bring features from ideas to execution, to delivery.
This role is ideal for an intermediate-to-senior PM who thrives in complex data environments, enjoys owning a portfolio, and is excited to drive outcomes in a growth-stage company - especially within the live event and event tech space.

You Will:
  • Develop deep expertise in the event industry and customer reporting needs across segments
  • Serve as the internal and external product lead for data and reporting
  • Build high-trust customer relationships to uncover requirements, pain points and wish lists
  • Partner with account managers and customers to define reporting needs
  • Translate disparate requirements into an actionable delivery plan
  • Provide input to our roadmap by defining key deliverables and feature sets that advance our Reporting strategy
  • Manage the day-to-day process of getting software built; help write epics and stories, meet with developers and QA to plan out the feature sets and act as the product expert to answer questions as development proceeds
  • Communicate progress, risks, and roadblocks internally and timely
  • Identify opportunities to turn reporting capabilities into competitive advantages
  • Balance new feature sets with strong data governance; to ensure data storage and retention strategies adhere to scalable data practices
  • Travel to festivals, venues and shows to see new features in the wild and to support customers which may require crawling under tables to run power, setting up Registers, counting t-shirts, cutting down boxes, you name it; you’ll feel like part of a crew
You Should Have:
  • 5-8+ years direct product management experience, with proven delivery of reporting and analytics products
  • Growth-stage experience; comfortable wearing multiple hats and executing hands-on (part of the fun)
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical product requirements
  • Firm opinions (loosely held) on operational reporting and data integrity (i.e. what tenants should not be broken when providing reporting to customers?)
  • Skilled at balancing features, performance, data governance, and retention trade-offs, as it relates to reporting
  • Proven ability to successfully lead cross-functional product teams; in person and remotely
  • Strategic mindset, with proven ability to pivot, influence others and keep stakeholders informed
  • Effective communicator across customers, business, development and QA
  • A keen desire to solve problems using multiple methodologies; prioritization, buy vs. build, organization structures
  • Willingness to work with atVenu’s lean and agile processes
  • Experience with financial, POS (point of sale), or live sales reporting (preferred)
