The Opportunity:
eCapital is seeking a Product Manager to drive the success of our fintech products through deep customer insight, data-driven decisions, and hands-on execution. This role is designed for a builder, someone who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and customer experience. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, delivery, and operations to define, develop, and launch features and products that create measurable business and customer value.

We hold ourselves to an exceptionally high standard, driven by our relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation. Joining our team means becoming part of a culture that values audacious goals, challenges conventional thinking, and consistently pushes the boundaries of what’s possible. Every individual who joins us contributes to shaping solutions that empower businesses and redefine industry standards.
As a Product Manager, you’ll own the roadmap and execution for one or more product areas, ensuring initiatives align with business goals, deliver customer impact, and scale effectively across our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and deliver the product roadmap for your area, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and strategic priorities.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, using data, feedback, and market research to identify opportunities, prioritize features, and define success metrics.
  • Translate complex business problems into clear, actionable product requirements (PR/FAQs, user stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, delivery, design, and operations to deliver high-quality features on time and within scope.
  • Drive execution from concept to launch, including stakeholder alignment, sprint planning, release readiness, and post-launch analysis.
  • Measure performance through usage data, feedback loops, and key performance indicators to guide continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate clear communication, documenting and presenting updates to stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Contribute to process improvement, refining how the product team plans, delivers, and measures success.
  • Champion eCapital’s leadership principles, earning trust, thinking big, delivering results, and maintaining a bias for action.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or financial services.
  • Proven ability to deliver customer-facing products or platform capabilities from concept to launch.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, SaaS architectures, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills — able to translate between technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities, manage ambiguity, and make data-informed trade-offs.
  • Experience working in an agile or iterative development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in lending technology, embedded finance, or payment systems.
  • Experience with data analytics, AI/ML features, or automation-driven products.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations, compliance, or underwriting workflows.
  • Track record of improving customer satisfaction, efficiency, or adoption metrics.
We Bring:
  • Annual Bonus Incentives
  • PTO
  • Health, Dental, and Life Benefits
  • RRSP Matching
  • Abundant professional development opportunities at a growing and thriving Fintech company!

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
