Perplexity is looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our small team revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. Your passion and diligence will be critical to ensure we deliver a high quality product. You will work closely with product management, design, and engineering. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and writing skills, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation frameworks from scratch
  • Write clear, concise automated test scripts that cover a wide range of scenarios
  • Maintaining and debugging automated test scripts
  • Detect bugs and UI issues on a variety of devices, browsers, and operating systems
  • Work with product management to set up proper QA testing processes
  • Detect performance problems by benchmarking against similar products
  • Work with support to understand and reproduce common user issues
  • Work with engineering to develop tools for automated testing
  • Beta test new features and builds

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience using Playwright
  • Proficiency in Typescript
  • Strong knowledge of automation framework concepts, and best practices
  • Diligent approach to testing and QA
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Experience using monitoring tools such as Datadog and Sentry
  • 4+ years of industry experience

The cash compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000.

Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
