Role Overview

Encepta is looking for an organized and proactive Project Coordinator to take ownership of daily coordination across telecommunications and utility infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, you will connect clients, vendors and field teams, maintain accurate project information, and ensure actions are followed through.

This role offers the opportunity to build your understanding of infrastructure delivery, expand into utility project coordination, and improve the processes that support our growing operations.

Why work for Encepta?

Encepta provides infrastructure planning, design and data collection services to telecommunications providers, utilities and municipalities. We combine technical expertise, innovative tools and practical field knowledge to help our clients build better networks and more connected communities.

We offer:

  • Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for daily coordination and contribute ideas that improve delivery.
  • Development opportunities: Build experience across telecommunications and utility projects, working directly with our Manager of Operations.
  • Collaborative culture: Join a team that values curiosity, accountability and practical problem-solving.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinate schedules, vendors and field resources to support project requirements.
  • Keep clients, contractors and internal teams informed of activities, changes and outstanding actions.
  • Prepare and track quotes, invoices and supporting documentation.
  • Review project information and field data, identifying discrepancies and following up on missing details.
  • Maintain accurate records, project trackers and shared inboxes.
  • Respond to changing priorities, flag issues early and help resolve coordination challenges.
  • Develop practical procedures and templates that make work more consistent and efficient.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least two years of experience in Outside Plant construction or a relevant role, ideally within telecommunications, utilities or infrastructure.
  • Strong administration and organizational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities through to completion.
  • Experience using utility or telecommunications carrier systems and a working understanding of utility infrastructure.
  • Strong Google Sheets skills and confidence reviewing data for accuracy.
  • Clear, professional communication and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Initiative, sound judgement and a willingness to improve processes as you learn.
  • Education in Business Administration or a related field is desirable.

What Success Looks Like

You will become a dependable point of coordination for the team: keeping activities organized, information accurate and stakeholders informed.

As your knowledge grows, you will take on broader coordination responsibilities and document core processes so the team can provide consistent coverage.

Encepta is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where employees from all backgrounds can succeed. We are committed to strengthening representation within our teams, including through the employment of individuals from BIPOC communities and business decisions informed by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.
