Founded in 1946, Canton Elevator Inc. (CEI) is a leading designer and manufacturer of complete hydraulic and traction elevators in North America. CEI also offers a wide range of elevator architectural products. In 2016, CEI was acquired by Nidec Motor Corporation, and is part of Nidec Elevator Business Unit.

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and structural drawings used to develop elevator shop drawing.
  • Review project quotation to confirm accuracy and compliance with local and national codes.
  • Review project shop drawings to confirm accuracy and compliance with local and national codes.
  • Review customer marked up drawings for feasibility and pricing changes.
  • Provide customer support for design interface information with other related trades.
  • Provide support for various internal departments throughout the life cycle of a project.
  • Capable of handling multiple jobs in various stages of progress.
  • Ability to manage and provide support for specific customer accounts.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a construction or manufacturing industry
  • Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction industry
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow general guidelines and processes.
  • Ability to communicate across a variety of platforms, verbal and written.
  • Fluid in Microsoft office and Adobe Acrobat. SolidWorks and AutoCAD are a plus.
