ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an amazing and unique opportunity for an energetic and highly motivated Technical Project Manager that will have the chance to influence the way projects are executed at LayerZero.   With the company transitioning from a startup to a more process-oriented environment, it’s well understood that the efficient execution of projects is a vital component to help the company get to the next level.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for an organized, flexible, detail-oriented individual with remarkable communication skills that are all required to help drive company initiatives working directly with a young, vibrant management team and a highly talented engineering group. The responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager position include

  • Overseeing of the company's projects (software and strategic initiatives)
  • Working directly with project owners on project status and risk management in accordance to agreed-to timelines.
  • Work within the project team to help drive project initiatives, including all cross-functional activities (i.e. Marketing), to ensure a smooth and successful release.
  • Project reporting of all projects is essential ensuring company wide alignment.
  • The preparation and execution of daily agile exception-report meetings with Management and Project Owners to highlight program status and help drive action on projects requiring support to meet project objectives/timelines.


ABOUT YOU

Software Program Management Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with project management methodologies in a software setting: Agile and Waterfall
  • Have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Are a self-starter professional who can identify the pain points and propose solutions for common engineering challenges
  • Expertise in the full lifecycle of a project from initiation to planning, execution, control, monitoring and reporting/presentation.
  • Experience using the following applications (or similar): Jira, Confluence, Miro/LucidChart, Monday.com. 
  • Strong leadership skills working with all levels (and functions) of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid decision-making, and organization.

Nice to Have:

  • A minimum of 1 Professional Project management certifications and training: (PMI PMP, CSM or Prince2)
  • Experience/knowledge in the Blockchain/WEB3 industry is a huge advantage.
