Our challenge

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate successful project execution. The ideal candidate will facilitate discovery sessions with all key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and drive planning sessions including grooming of epics/user stories, identifying dependencies, sizing efforts, resources planning, and developing detailed release plans.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Calgary, AB is CAD $100k – CAD $105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate planning sessions and grooming of epics/user stories.
  • Identify dependencies, effort sizing, and resource planning.
  • Lead and facilitate scrum ceremonies to plan and execute sprints and scrum-of-scrums.
  • Oversee sprint execution, testing strategies, defect management, and release activities.
  • Collaborate across technology, business, infrastructure, and other stakeholder departments.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, resolving scheduling conflicts and constraints.
  • Communicate effectively, providing clear visibility into project health to teams and senior management.
  • For Program Managers:
  • Manage large, interconnected programs.
  • Organize, monitor, and coordinate cross-project activities.
  • Plan resources and budgets.
  • Guide and manage project managers.
  • Manage program-level reporting, risks, issues, and leadership updates.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Experience in risk and resource management.
