The Quality Assurance Analyst (SDET) is responsible for developing and managing testing initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality software delivery in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Job Functions/Responsibilities

Develop the testing efforts for multiple projects across the firm.

Create, maintain and execute test plans and scripts to ensure code quality.

Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
-
Possess the ability to design and implement automated testing frameworks.
-
Help coordinate the test plan development at the initiation of a project.
-
Source for and develop test data for functional testing.
-
Adhere to Quality Assurance standard set by the firm.
-
Adhere to project schedules.
-
In conjunction with the Product team, provide guidance to development team in identifying and resolving functional issues with application code.

Work with vendors and vendor data analysis as part of the Quality Assurance team.

Other duties as assigned.
Basic Skill Level Requirements
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
-
6 to 8 years of work experience in functional testing primarily using ALM or equivalent
-
5+ years’ experience developing test plans for mainframe and/or distributed applications
Skills and Tools:
-
Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar.
-
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, BDD Cucumber, or similar.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and test-driven development.
-
Strong understanding of software development and QA processes.
-
Previous experience in software automation and performance testing.
-
Hands-on experience with automated test script development and maintenance.

Debugging and troubleshooting skills for test scripts and frameworks.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
-
Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with developers and QA teams.
-
Experience in the financial industry, including knowledge of financial products, services, and regulations.

Understanding of financial systems and applications, such as trading platforms, banking software, or financial data processing systems.
