The Quality Assurance Analyst (SDET) is responsible for developing and managing testing initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality software delivery in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop the testing efforts for multiple projects across the firm.

  • Create, maintain and execute test plans and scripts to ensure code quality.

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

  • Possess the ability to design and implement automated testing frameworks.

  • Help coordinate the test plan development at the initiation of a project.

  • Source for and develop test data for functional testing.

  • Adhere to Quality Assurance standard set by the firm.

  • Adhere to project schedules.

  • In conjunction with the Product team, provide guidance to development team in identifying and resolving functional issues with application code.

  • Work with vendors and vendor data analysis as part of the Quality Assurance team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Skill Level Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of work experience in functional testing primarily using ALM or equivalent

  • 5+ years’ experience developing test plans for mainframe and/or distributed applications

Skills and Tools:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar.

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, BDD Cucumber, or similar.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and test-driven development.

  • Strong understanding of software development and QA processes.

  • Previous experience in software automation and performance testing.

  • Hands-on experience with automated test script development and maintenance.

  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills for test scripts and frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with developers and QA teams.

  • Experience in the financial industry, including knowledge of financial products, services, and regulations.

  • Understanding of financial systems and applications, such as trading platforms, banking software, or financial data processing systems.
