The Receptionist is a key member of the Buff Wax Spot Store Team and reports to the Store Manager/Studio Team Lead.
You must be able to:
- Demonstrate 1 year of previous experience in similar environment (retail/salon/restaurant/medical/office)
- Stand when required for your shift, bend often, participate in active cleaning of the shop and occasionally lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Manage time effectively and handle periods of high volume with ease
- Be computer savvy including learning and using in-house software systems
- Provide the highest-quality service and client care with kindness, great conversation, friendly demeanour and sense of humour
- Maintain a polished, fashionable and business-appropriate appearance
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Greet clients professionally and courteously
- Be well-mannered with superb phone skills; ability to remain cool under pressure is critical
- Effectively check guests in and out, cash out clients, accurately input client information into the booking software, and rebook appointments
- Accurately record tips and product commissions received for Wax Techs
- Display excellent client service, communication and organization skills
- Maintain a professional, orderly, and clean work environment
- Listen and communicate effectively
- Organize, be neat and extremely clean-conscious
- Punctual and reliable
- High integrity with a great attendance record
- Ability to problem solve as issues arise

- Assist with daily salon duties (laundering towels, sweeping, mopping, sterilizing implements, etc)
- Performs daily inventory counts

- Recommend services and products to clients
- Educate on and sell wax after-care products
- Maintaining retail products stocks and keeping retail area clean, tidy and attractive
