About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Regional Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. The role  is assigned to a broad region of the US, requiring extensive travel to our data centers within the assigned region. As a Regional Inventory Control Specialist at CoreWeave you will be a critical contributor to the efficient operation of our data centers. You will be responsible for all inventory-related activities during the data center’s build phase. These include establishing site-specific operational procedures, timely and accurate receipt of  all inbound shipments, and recording and tracking of onsite assets. In addition, you will be responsible for training team members who will manage the data center’s inventory following the build phase. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent leadership and communication skills, a willingness to work the hours necessary to ensure the data center build is completed on-time, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This role will require travel to a regional hub of data center locations across the U.S. (West/Central/East) and the ideal candidate should be based in the contiguous United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Material Receipt: accurately record receipt of all inbound deliveries into ERP system in a timely manner, noting any discrepancies for immediate attention
  • Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and other IT assets within the data center, including servers, networking equipment, and other hardware and materials.
  • Training: Onboard and train personnel to assume inventory responsibilities following completion of the data center’s build phase
  • Audits: Conduct audits of the asset inventory to verify accuracy and completeness, and make necessary updates to the inventory records.
  • Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the operations team to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that hardware and materials are available when needed and optimizing utilization.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate the shipping and receiving of IT materials and ensure their safe storage and distribution within the data center and to other facilities.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of inventory, shipments, and audits, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Technology Skills: Utilize inventory management software and other tools to maintain accurate records.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with various teams, including Operations, Engineering, IT, Procurement, and Finance to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and take proactive measures to prevent inventory-related issues.
  • Travel: Available to travel extensively within the designated region to lead build-specific inventory and training at various data center locations.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive background in inventory management or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading time-sensitive inventory projects.
  • Experience training and coaching team members.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with asset management software.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for  accuracy.
  • A curious nature to identify and solve problems.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to contribute as needed to complete responsibilities by fixed deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.
  • Comfortable working in a data center environment, and ability to move and lift heavy objects.
  • Capable of flexing and pivoting as priorities shift.
  • A passion for technology and a willingness to learn about the latest advancements in cloud compute services.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000-$105,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
