Benevity is looking for a passionate, driven Manager, Renewals Desk with a track record of success managing renewal strategy evolution, operations, optimization, and scale.
The Manager, Renewals Desk plays a critical role in optimizing existing client revenue for the Expand teams. This function will be responsible for driving the evolution of Benevity’s renewal motion across processes, reporting, systems, and management. This leader will support the expansion sales representatives on contract review, quote pricing, and order processing.
Examples of challenges to be addressed includes:
- Accelerate improvements for quote generation including process for user based pricing; this will include driving a cross functional effort with product and finance to automate and could include standing up a quote creation resource team
- Comprehensive data and reporting on both current state of renewal contracts and managing to future state targets inclusive of renewal quality metrics across: Multi year renewals, Favorable Terms, PreNegotiated Price Lift
- Lead and facilitate the analysis and execution of existing clients to new Pricing and Packaging

What you'll do:
- Lead the Renewals Desk: Establish and manage a dedicated Renewals Desk to streamline and automate the renewal process
- Optimize Renewal Processes: Identify and implement process improvements, including automation, to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Enhance Renewal Quality: Ensure consistent application of best practices, accurate quoting, and adherence to policies and procedures
- Drive Renewal Success: Proactively identify renewal risks, implement effective retention strategies, and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Free Up Sales Capacity: Offload routine renewal tasks to the Renewals Desk, allowing sales representatives to focus on strategic initiatives and high-value opportunities
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with sales, finance, legal, and product teams to align on deal structures, pricing, and contract terms
- Analyze and Report: Monitor key metrics, analyze trends, and provide insights to inform strategic decisions and improve performance
Specific Responsibilities:
- Deal Structuring: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure complex deals, ensuring they are both competitive and aligned with company objectives. Provide guidance on pricing, discounts, contract length, and contractual terms
- Price Modeling: Develop and maintain accurate pricing models to support effective deal structuring and negotiations
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, optimize pricing strategies, and inform decision-making
- Renewal Timeliness: Oversee the timely generation of quotes and invoices, ensuring timely renewals and minimizing revenue leakage
- Sales Support: Act as the primary point of contact for the sales team, providing support on pricing, quotes, contract terms, and deal configurations
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate collaboration between revenue operations, finance, legal, and product teams to ensure alignment and efficient deal execution
- Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and revenue recognition standards. Maintain and update the sales playbook to reflect the latest guidelines
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor key metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement
- Training and Enablement: Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team on deal desk processes, tools, and best practices. Develop and maintain educational materials to enhance their skills and knowledge
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience managing renewals and expansion in a direct expansion role or operational leadership role and 8+ years experience in enterprise saas tech commercial role
- Experience in selling within SaaS, HR Tech and complex pricing footprint
- Track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas personally
- Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions
- Deep experience in Salesforce.com with an analytical mindset is a must
- Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus
- Proven experience in managing renewal operations, preferably in a SaaS or technology company
- Strong understanding of contract terms, pricing models, and revenue recognition principles
- Proficiency in Salesforce and other CRM tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on process improvement and automation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- A passion for driving operational excellence and a customer-centric approach
- Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is a plus
