Pour notre centre de recherche en Amérique du Nord, nous recherchons un gestionnaire d'équipe de recherche pour diriger l'équipe des systèmes de puissance située à Montréal, au Canada. Votre équipe se concentrera sur la recherche multidisciplinaire dans les domaines des systèmes de puissance, de l'interaction homme-machine (HCI), de l'apprentissage automatique et de la cybersécurité.

Votre impact

  • Assurer la gestion d'une équipe de recherche multidisciplinaire

  • Encadrer les membres de l'équipe afin de favoriser leur développement professionnel

  • Assurer l'exécution professionnelle des projets de R&D et la qualité des résultats

  • Recruter et intégrer de nouveaux employés dans l'équipe

  • Favoriser la création de nouvelles propositions de projets de R&D et d'initiatives de recherche stratégique

  • Entretenir et développer un excellent réseau avec les unités commerciales concernées et les universités de premier plan.

  • Promouvoir une culture de l'innovation et favoriser la création d'une recherche à forte valeur ajoutée

  • Contribuer aux travaux techniques dans le cadre de projets de recherche et d'études préliminaires.

Votre expérience

  • Doctorat en informatique, en électrotechnique ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.

  • Expérience préalable et résultats probants dans le domaine de la R&D industrielle

  • Solides compétences en matière de leadership et de communication

  • Capacité à gérer les attentes et les interdépendances complexes

  • Personnalité innovante et orientée vers le travail en équipe, ainsi que style de travail axé sur les solutions

  • Expertise technique dans le domaine des systèmes d'alimentation électrique

  • Maîtrise de l'anglais, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral ; le français (un atout).

For our research center in North America, we are looking for a Research Team Manager to lead the Power Systems team in Montreal, Canada. Your team will focus on multidisciplinary research in Power systems, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Machine Learning, and Cyber Security.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Line management for a multidisciplinary research team

  • Coach team members to support their professional development

  • Ensure professional execution of R&D projects and quality of results

  • Recruit and onboard new employees to the team

  • Foster the creation of new R&D project proposals and strategic research initiatives

  • Maintain and extend an excellent network to relevant business units and leading universities

  • Drive a culture of innovation and foster the creation of high value research

  • Contributing to technical work in research projects and pre-studies

Your background

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

  • Previous experience and proven track record in industrial R&D

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to manage expectations and complex interdependencies

  • Team-oriented and innovative personality as well as solution-oriented working style

  • Technical expertise in power systems

  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.
