About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is essential to our daily financial operations, owning key aspects of the general ledger, accounts payable, and the order-to-cash cycle. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable with high-volume transactional data, and capable of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
You will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and the broader Finance team to ensure accurate billing, timely vendor payments, and a smooth month-end close. You’ll be a key contributor to our Revenue team’s operational efficiency, audit readiness, and reporting integrity.
What You'll Do:
Revenue Operations & Technical Accounting
Contract Review: Perform first-level reviews of customer contracts and order forms to ensure revenue is recognized according to ASC 606.
Deal Support: Partner with the Deal Desk and Legal to identify non-standard terms in pending deals.
Documentation: Assist in preparing technical accounting memos for complex or non-standard revenue arrangements.
Policy Support: Assist in maintaining revenue recognition policies and ensuring they are applied consistently across all product lines.
Operational Execution
Monthly Close: Execute monthly and quarterly revenue close tasks, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses.
Billing Coordination: Collaborate with Billing and Finance Operations teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing.
System Scaling: Support the implementation of process improvements and automation within our ERP to help scale revenue operations.
Cross-Functional Support & Compliance
FP&A Partnership: Assist FP&A with data gathering for revenue forecasting and variance analysis.
Audit Readiness: Prepare PBC (Provided by Client) schedules for external audits and provide supporting documentation for auditor inquiries.
Internal Controls: Assist in documenting processes and maintaining control enhancements to support IPO readiness and SOX compliance.
What You Have:
Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition or technical accounting.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward a CPA is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of ASC 606 principles.
Industry Background: Experience in SaaS, software, or healthcare tech is highly valued.
Systems: Proficiency with NetSuite and Salesforce; experience with revenue automation tools is a plus.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.
