AECOM is seeking a Procurement Specialist to work closely with and directly support the Procurement Manager in a full-time, hybrid position. You’ll be a key driver in keeping procurement activities running smoothly, suppliers aligned, and projects on track. You’ll work closely with a supportive Procurement Manager and learn the full procurement lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Act as the go-to support for the Procurement Manager across current and future projects
- Support the Procurement Manager in developing and maintaining procurement strategies plans and client deliverables
- Actively build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and project teams to drive collaboration and successful outcomes
- Bring brilliant, creative ideas to share with clients and enhance project outcomes
- Assist with procurement planning, scheduling, and tracking of materials and services
- Support contract and purchase order administration from award through delivery
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Client team to keep everyone aligned
- Help resolve supplier issues and keep communication flowing
- Maintain procurement logs, reports, and dashboard
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline: engineering, finance, business, etc.
- 6+ years experience of procurement related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in procurement in a project-based environments on large infrastructure capital project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and juggling priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player who enjoys supporting others
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Someone who takes initiative and loves a “let’s get it done” mindset
- Understand, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions is an asset
