Role Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by generating and nurturing high-quality Sales Accepted Leads (SALs). In this role, you will identify and engage prospective and existing customers, qualify opportunities, and schedule meetings for the sales team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization while building your career in the fast-paced cybersecurity industry.

This position supports business operations within the United States and may be aligned to a U.S. territory across Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones. Work hours may be adjusted to match the business hours of the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation

  • Identify, research, and target potential clients across designated industries and organizations
  • Engage prospects through multiple channels, including phone, email, and social platforms

Lead Qualification

  • Conduct initial outreach and assess prospects based on defined qualification criteria (company size, needs, budget, timeline, etc.)
  • Understand customer challenges and determine alignment with cybersecurity solutions

Pipeline Development

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to maintain a consistent flow of qualified leads
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in CRM systems for leads and opportunities

Sales Team Collaboration

  • Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for sales representatives
  • Provide context and insights to ensure effective lead handoff and follow-up

Revenue Contribution

  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly performance targets for outreach and meetings
  • Generate high-quality opportunities that contribute to revenue growth

Continuous Learning

  • Stay informed on cybersecurity trends, solutions, and market developments
  • Participate in ongoing training to strengthen sales skills and performance

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or similar roles (preferably within cybersecurity, technology, or B2B environments)

Communication Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Comfortable explaining complex concepts to business audiences

Sales Acumen

  • Understanding of prospecting, qualification, and meeting-setting within a sales cycle
  • Experience with outbound phone engagement preferred, including high-volume activity (up to ~75 calls per day)

Technical Familiarity

  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Exposure to cybersecurity solutions is a plus, but not required

Performance Orientation

  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed activity and pipeline metrics

Personal Attributes

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented
  • Collaborative team player capable of working cross-functionally

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
