The Country Sales Manager is responsible for setting up and managing industry leading One Pfizer function for sales excellence/customer engagement for key launches and key growth products within the country. This role will report to the Cluster Sales Lead or Multi-Country Sales Lead. The Country Sales Manager cooperates closely with the respective Cluster Category Lead to optimize our launch capability and to bring customer-centric insight driven world class experience for our customers and patients. The Country Sales Manager embeds an entrepreneurial mindset within the sales team, driving the adoption of AI tools to accelerate the field force impact with customers.
Strategic Sales Leadership
  • Understanding local market pharmaceutical business environment impacts for our business, define and execute a territory-level business operating plan, aligning with cluster and country goals.
  • Lead sales excellence and customer engagement strategies for key launches and growth products.
  • Prioritize and manage Field Force team resources to ensure continuous improvement in customer experience.

Team Management and Development
  • Manage a team of 10-12 sales representatives, with exceptions based on country-specific needs.
  • Coach and develop field force capabilities, embedding an entrepreneurial mindset and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Improve customer impact KPIs through excellence in training, in call effectiveness and coaching for the CFC, powered by AI.
  • Drive adoption of AI and digital tools to enhance customer impact and field force productivity.

Operational Planning and Execution
  • Oversee resource allocation, ensuring optimal coverage and segmentation to meet or exceed competitor benchmarks.
  • Monitor and improve sales visit documentation and compliance (e.g. VEEVA system accuracy).
  • Execute Targeting & Segmentation, ensuring CFC are focused on the Right HCPs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Best Practice Sharing
  • Act as a bridge between sales, marketing, medical, and commercial excellence teams to ensure integrated execution.
  • To work with the respective Cluster Category Leads and Country Portfolio Leads and other commercial roles to develop holistic omni-channel strategy for our key assets.
  • Drive the implementation of AI pilots across the field force and scaling best practices and success stories

Market Intelligence and External Engagement
  • Stay attuned to local pharmaceutical market dynamics, adapting strategies to maximise business impact.
  • Represent the organisation in external engagements, fostering relationships with key stakeholders and customers.

Must-Have:
  • Minimum 7 years of Sales experience
  • People Manager experience
  • Ability to set up complex structures and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong connection and respect to/from Cluster Category leads required.
  • One Pfizer mindset, excellence in change agility and strategic thinker.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Master in agile resource management.
  • Excellent managerial skills and strong talent development record of accomplishment.
  • Strong skills in communication and prioritization
  • Can do attitude and positive working style
  • Fluency in written and spoken Country language and English

  • University Scientific Degree
  • Leadership experience from multiple Therapy Areas
