About The Role

The Sales Producer Recruiter plays a critical role in driving the growth of our sales organization by attracting, engaging, and hiring top-tier insurance producers across multiple regions. This role goes beyond transactional recruiting. You will act as a strategic talent partner to sales leadership, shaping hiring strategies, influencing talent decisions, and building pipelines that support both immediate production goals and long-term business growth.

As part of a high-performing, in-house recruitment team, you will leverage deep market insight, strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive sourcing approach to identify and attract high-impact sales talent in a competitive insurance landscape.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for insurance sales producers (e.g., Producers, Account Executives, Advisors, etc.), from intake through offer and onboarding coordination

  • Partner closely with sales leadership to understand revenue goals, growth targets, and market expansion plans; translate these into proactive recruiting strategies

  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of passive and active sales talent, with a focus on experienced insurance producers and niche or hard-to-fill roles

  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, industry events, referrals, and direct outreach to competitors

  • Provide market intelligence on competitor hiring activity, compensation structures (base vs. commission), and producer mobility trends to inform hiring decisions

  • Assess candidates not only for experience, but for book of business potential, cultural alignment, and long-term production capability

  • Deliver a high-touch, consultative candidate experience that reflects the organization’s employer brand and value proposition

  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure alignment with compensation frameworks, compliance requirements, and hiring best practices

  • Champion inclusive and equitable hiring practices in line with Canadian employment legislation and corporate standards

  • Utilize ATS/CRM systems (e.g., Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter) to manage pipelines, ensure data integrity, and track recruitment metrics

  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, and pipeline health; continuously improve recruiting effectiveness.

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

  •  5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with a strong focus on sales recruitment

  • Experience recruiting within the insurance or financial services industry, with an understanding of producer roles, compensation models, and regulatory considerations, is a strong asset

  • Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic partner to business leaders, influencing hiring decisions and workforce planning

  • Strong track record of sourcing and engaging passive candidates in highly competitive talent markets

  • Experience recruiting for revenue-generating roles where the quality of hire directly impacts business performance

  • Proficiency with ATS and sourcing platforms (e.g., Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM tools)

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and consultative skills

  • Highly autonomous, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a decentralized, fast-paced environment

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand sales metrics, producer economics, and growth strategy

  • Resilient, persistent, and results-driven mindset

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
