Salesforce Administrator

As Salesforce Administrator, you’ll play a vital role at Billtrust assisting a team in managing our Salesforce environment. You’ll be an active participant in helping us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform; working with the Salesforce team and/or stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, design scalable best practice solutions, test those changes and the implement them into product environments. Our user experience is very important to us, therefore the Salesforce Administrator should enjoy all aspects of stakeholder engagement, from user management and support tickets to solution design/implementation and training.

As the administrator, you have a good understanding of the Salesforce platform, including our current setup and business objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to use their experience to not only react to stakeholder feedback but proactively identify areas of improvement. The Salesforce Administrator should be comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing and managing all aspects of a Salesforce project. Additionally, you will be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information into layman’s terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules.
  • Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, reports, and even delving into automation such as workflows, process builders, flows, assignment rules, approval processes.
  • Sandbox environment management
  • Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
  • Identify unused or underutilized platform features
  • Own the communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders
  • Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer
  • Handle user support tickets
  • Monitor and improve user adoption
  • New user and ongoing user training
  • Help create a platform roadmap and defining priorities, liaising with stakeholders
  • Technical documentation
  • Working with integrated applications (eg. Copado Essentials, Email to Case Premium, DLRS, etc.)

What You’ll Bring:

  • A positive attitude and passion for the Salesforce environment, solving problems, and helping others.
  • Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 2+ years’ of hands-on experience with Salesforce administration (preferably Sales and/or Service Cloud)
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports. Preferred: workflow, process builder, flow, assignment rules, approval processes.
  • Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification
  • Certification:
    • Salesforce Administrator certification
    • Preferred: Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g. Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder) or CPQ experience.
  • Comfortable with Excel and Dataloader
  • Experience designing scalable, best practice solutions
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge and experience in
    • translating requirements into technical solutions
    • change management, governance, devops.
    • training end users and key stakeholders
    • creating supporting technical documentation
  • Active in the Salesforce community, including staying up to date on trends and changes or trailhead/badges.

The base salary for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
