About the Role:
Resident is seeking a Senior 3D Artist to join our in-house creative team, Resident Creative, to support Ashley Furniture. In this role, you will report to the VP of Brand & Design and collaborate closely with our Creative Director, Brand Team, and Growth Teams. You’ll play a key role in crafting high-quality 3D content, bringing our products to life through expert modeling, texturing and lighting. Your work will shape visually stunning, photorealistic environments to showcase our furniture across multiple channels.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Create high-quality 3D content that balances visual excellence, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conceptualize and develop creative ideas, storyboards, and visual narratives based on project needs.
- Build and refine environments—from architectural modeling to lighting and composition—to ensure photo-realistic quality.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, exploring new tools, techniques, and software to enhance workflow and innovation.
- Collaborate effectively with Interior Designers, Art Directors, and Producers throughout the production process.
- Identify new opportunities for CGI implementation in 3D product visualization.
- Manage and maintain 3D assets, including product SKUs, render files, and digital libraries.
- Oversee external 3D resources and vendor relationships, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Handle multiple 3D projects across various departments while maintaining a high level of precision and creativity.
- Apply independent judgment in problem-solving, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in architectural visualization, 3D modeling, or related fields.
- Expertise in 3D software & rendering engines (3DS Max and VRay preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong skills in compositing and post-production.
- Background in interior design or home furnishings is highly preferred.
- Experience working within e-commerce is a plus.
- Exceptional artistic sensibility, with a keen eye for light, composition, and realism.
- Adaptability to evolving technology and industry advancements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration.
- Ability to give and receive feedback, refining work to meet high creative standards.
- Highly organized and self-sufficient, capable of managing projects in an autonomous environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Experience in 3D animation is a plus, but not required.
