We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join our growing Finance & Accounting Team. There is a preference for this candidate to be based in Vancouver to work in a hybrid setting, but remote applicants within Canada are welcome too.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of audit methodologies and control policies.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of financial records, processes, and systems to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  • Provide support to teams to enhance understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with at least 1 year of experience in public accounting audit (big 4, national 6, or smaller firms).
  • Professional certification or in progress of obtaining CPA is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; must be able to communicate effectively among cross-functional and cross-country teams, management, and external auditors
  • Good knowledge of Google Suite tools, MS Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite is an asset

  • The base salary for this role ranges from $70,000 - $80,000 in local currency, depending upon experience
