About the Position
Dotdash Meredith is looking for a data and analytics rockstar with strong SEO analytical and technical skills to join our Growth & Content Strategy team. This person will work with our entertainment (PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly) and beauty brands (InStyle) to grow intent-driven audiences across Dotdash Meredith’s premium entertainment and beauty brands.
As the Senior Analyst, you will report to the Associate Director of Growth & Content Strategy and be part of a specialized team within our Growth organization. You will have access to premier SEO tools and cutting-edge resources. You’ll be part of an industry-leading team that delivers actionable insights and makes informed strategic decisions for Dotdash Meredith. You will collaborate daily with expert product engineers, SEO-savvy editorial teams, and best-in-class designers to build world-class content experiences and drive measurable results.
Hybrid 3x a week- New York City or Los Angeles
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:

Work with other Growth members and editorial leadership to maintain and grow our brands’ traffic

Organize, evaluate, and synthesize performance data into patterns and actionable insights capable of driving future growth

Partner with editorial teams to maintain and improve our content libraries through site audits, in-depth analysis, keyword research and trend tracking

Research, study, and identify trends within search demand to identify growth opportunities for our content and product

Compile and present recaps on major events with insightful analysis to the individual brand teams and help provide actionable next steps

Work with product management to create requirements to improve each site based on SEO research

Utilize moderate to advanced data analysis and statistics skillsets to analyze large datasets and develop innovative, data-driven solutions.

Translate complex data outputs into actionable insights and effectively communicating them to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications:

2–3 years of work experience in SEO, digital marketing, or another quantitative and analytical discipline such as consulting, market research, data science, etc.

Skilled with data and can conduct analysis to draw helpful insights and action steps, and are familiar with tools like Excel or Google Sheets.

Demonstrated interest in the web, technology, or online marketing (personal sites, app or web app projects, etc.).

Exceptional attention to detail.

Strong communication skills.

Demonstrated project and time management skills.

Familiarity with SEO and keyword tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, or similar tools is a plus.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in math, science, business, or computer science.

Experience with reporting, archiving or retiring content, and taxonomy work is a plus.

Some knowledge of the entertainment industry is a plus but not required.
