What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and maintain REST APIs and distributed backend components
- Work with relational and document databases (Postgres, MS SQL, MongoDB)
- Collaborate directly with business users and traders to refine requirements and shape solutions
- Lead and mentor junior developers, contributing to overall engineering quality
- Work within a product-focused, fast-paced environment with high ownership expectations
- Contribute to platform development in the Precious Metals & FICC Operations domain
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Java + Spring Boot
- Strong experience building APIs and backend services
- Hands-on experience with databases such as Postgres, MS SQL, and MongoDB
- Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting directly with business stakeholders
- Ability to work without Business Analysts (direct-to-business model)
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, product-first engineering culture
- Experience with NodeJS + TypeScript
- Exposure to React or general full-stack awareness
- Background in Capital Markets, FICC, or Commodities engineering environments
