About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, highly available backend services and systems. We expect you to have solid programming fundamentals, excellent coding standards, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to play a significant role in team collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high quality features delivery.
- Conduct detailed design, coding, and unit testing based on requirements and design documents.
- Participate in code reviews, share best practices, and contribute to elevating the team’s technical capabilities.
- Develop and maintain distributed, robust and scalable programs deployed to Kubernetes environments that serve hundreds of millions of users
- Support and debug production issues through on-call rotations
What We’re looking for:
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Deep expertise in one or more backend languages: Golang, TypeScript, Python, or Java
- Strong experience with distributed systems, REST APIs, and backend microservices
- Proficient in common data structures and algorithms with excellent coding habits and style.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to build consensus with stakeholders
- Ability to independently analyze and solve problems.
- Quick learner for new technologies.
Nice to have:
- Open-source contribution experience.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native tooling
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to boost development efficiency
- Familiar with recommendation system
