Keyera is currently seeking a Senior Business Development Representative to join the Gathering & Processing Origination Team in the Calgary office. This role provides commercial leadership to develop and seek out Infrastructure investments requiring an interdisciplinary approach and good understanding of the industry. This is achieved by actively prospecting for new opportunities and building relationships with our customers to develop opportunities to support Keyera’s value chain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying, developing, and securing new investment opportunities that support Keyera’s growth in Gathering and Processing Infrastructure focused on the Montney and Duvernay formations.
- Analyzing and understanding Montney and Duvernay processing opportunities and the Keyera’s ability to gather liquids from these geological areas.
- Understanding and monitoring competitive positioning and the ability to leverage Keyera’s strengths to appropriately position Keyera in this market segment.
- Actively building relationships with industry groups, industry partners and key customers.
- Understanding and nurturing long-term relationships with customers and partners built on trust and integrity and leverage that into new business.
- Prepares and negotiates commercial terms for complex investment opportunities.
- Working with Keyera’s operational team to ensure that all our customers' expectations are met or exceeded.
- Collaborating with peers in Keyera’s Infrastructure, Marketing and Enablement groups to ensure outcomes are maximized.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be organized, energetic, and driven to maximize our Gathering and Processing business with the following qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering and/or Business, with 7+ years of energy related experience.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue and conclude new business opportunities with customers and strategic partners.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, negotiate and conclude complex contracts and negotiations.
- Understanding how to build consensus across the organization and manage stakeholder relations,
- Has a broad understanding of Keyera’s business activities and the ability to understand and quantify the benefits of how incremental Gathering and Processing assets can drive value to Keyera’s value chain.
- Entrepreneurial mind set (open minded, willingness to take risk, resilient).
- The candidate will demonstrate a commitment and passion for industry leading Health and Safety performance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely and organized manner with an attention for detail and a focus on teamwork.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with strategic thinking and creativity. You value collaboration and diversity of thought.
- Experience in all or some of the following areas: facility and gas plant operations, customer relationship management, contract negotiations, project development/management, financial analysis and economics, joint interest and acquisitions, business development, corporate development, analytics, Engineering, asset development, and midstream services
