About the role

Transform the future of insurance with Intact as a Senior Communications Advisor (Broker Marketing & Communications).

We’re looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to join our strategic and dynamic Broker Marketing and Communications team, located in Toronto, Montreal, or Calgary (hybrid). This role will be focused on developing and executing a strategic communications framework for Commercial Lines.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a communications strategy and roadmap that supports the company’s Commercial Lines’ brand and growth.

  • Develop comprehensive communication plans, craft compelling content for various channels, and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Assist in shaping and building a collaborative Commercial Lines broker marketing and communications strategy by overseeing the strategic evolution of this communications plan.

  • Influence and play a role beyond your team role, acting as a leader and conductor within multidisciplinary teams to support implementation and development.

  • Establish strong relationships with internal partners across the business to inform and evolve the strategy over time.

  • In collaboration with our analytic and reporting teams, set up tracking and monitoring to analyze the performance of communications activities and optimize to reach our objectives.

  • Support our business and development teams in developing communications for brokers.

To be successful in this role, you are:

  • Experienced in developing and executing strategic, integrated marketing/communications strategies and tactical executions for a minimum of 10 years.

  • A writer and editor, with a strong sense of storytelling and narrative structure across written and visual media.

  • A curious, strategic thinker who can use data, market research, and other information to capitalize on emerging and evolving opportunities.

  • A university graduate with a degree in a relevant area of study or equivalent work experience.

  • Proficient in using presentation software applications to communicate ideas and plans to internal audiences.

  • A collaborative team-player and leader, able to build strong relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Capable of working in a bilingual environment: with working skills in English and French, or a willingness to improve your second language.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • Comfortable working in a changing environment and motivating your colleagues to adapt to, and embrace, change.

  • Experienced in a B2B environment, using effective marketing and communications strategies to drive and sustain business growth.

  • Results-driven, using data and insights to continually optimize and adapt strategies to evolving audience and market conditions.
