THE CHALLENGE
In today's dynamic and interconnected digital landscape, organizations face a constant struggle to manage the risks associated with an ever-expanding attack surface. This challenge is exacerbated by rapid technological advancements, the proliferation of cloud environments, and the increasing sophistication of cyber threats. That’s where you come in. We need an experienced Cybersecurity Risk Analyst to play a pivotal role in mitigating these risks by collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams. This includes integrating security controls into our development practices, identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities, and working with the business to enable their success using secure solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL TAKE ON
- Regular and ongoing risk assessments of internal systems, processes, and third-party vendors; evaluating and detailing associated cybersecurity risks and recommending risk treatment options.
- Establishing and monitoring risk remediation plans developed through collaboration with technical teams and leadership.
- Reporting out on findings, metrics, and recommend mitigations to technology and business leadership.
- Collaborating with multi-functional teams to drive improvements in business processes to facilitate identification of critical metrics.
- Working closely with cybersecurity and adjacent teams to achieve a comprehensive, alternative risk view.
- Staying abreast of emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities through continuous communication with the Vulnerability Management team and Security Operations Center.
- Supporting review of new laws/regulation, identify gaps, transcribe impacts into actionable requirements for implementation through governance team.
- Assisting during internal/external audit (gather documents, prepare summary).
- Maintaining team runbooks, team intra-web pages, and risk register metrics dashboards.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with collaborators throughout the T2 organization.
- Strong business insight with the ability to understand and align risk management practices with the organization's overall strategic goals.
- Proven experience in data analytics, process development, and remediation planning.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity risk management frameworks and standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets to inform business decisions.
- At least one of the following certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CASP+.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity risk management.
