Position Overview

The Senior Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Architect will provide architectural leadership for the enhancement, integration, security, scalability, and ongoing evolution of an existing Government of Canada Dynamics 365 CRM platform.

The resource will define and govern solution architecture across application, data, integration, security, infrastructure, and deployment domains while ensuring solutions remain scalable, secure, accessible, supportable, and aligned with Government of Canada standards, enterprise architecture principles, and Dynamics 365 best practices.

The platform supports citizen-facing services, authorized representatives, internal case management, document and evidence management, reporting, data migration, and integrations with enterprise systems and cloud services.

The resource will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, project authorities, and governance bodies to ensure the successful evolution of the production solution.


** Mandatory- Security Clearance: Candidates should have a valid Government of Canada Reliability Status (Reliability Security Clearance).


Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead solution architecture for Dynamics 365 CRM across application, integration, data, security, infrastructure, and deployment domains.
  2. Define architecture standards, technical patterns, and design principles for CRM solutions supporting citizen services and complex case-management processes.
  3. Design solutions using Dynamics 365 CRM, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Public Sector Solutions, Azure Services, Microsoft Fabric integrations, document repositories, and enterprise APIs.
  4. Review and approve business requirements, user stories, technical designs, data models, interface specifications, security models, and deployment approaches.
  5. Define architecture patterns supporting:
    • Applicant onboarding
    • Case management
    • Correspondence management
    • Document and evidence management
    • Reassessment and appeals
    • Reporting and analytics
    • Workflow automation
  6. Design enterprise integration solutions between Dynamics 365 CRM and:
    • Microsoft Azure services
    • Identity providers
    • Enterprise document repositories
    • Data and analytics platforms
    • Government of Canada enterprise services
    • Approved third-party systems
  7. Define CRM security architecture including:
    • Role-based access control
    • External-user access
    • Field-level security
    • Auditing
    • Encryption
    • Data protection
    • Privacy controls
  8. Provide architectural oversight for document management solutions supporting secure upload, storage, malware scanning, metadata management, retrieval, retention, and disposition.
  9. Define and review application lifecycle management, deployment architecture, release governance, environment strategy, and operational support models.
  10. Support Architecture Review Boards, cybersecurity reviews, privacy reviews, accessibility assessments, threat and risk assessments, and Authority to Operate activities.
  11. Identify technical risks, dependencies, architectural issues, platform limitations, scalability concerns, and technical debt.
  12. Guide development teams, administrators, analysts, and vendors throughout design, build, testing, deployment, hypercare, and production stabilization activities.
  13. Provide architectural leadership on performance optimization, scalability planning, resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
  14. Review and approve solution deliverables to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and project objectives.
  15. Maintain architecture diagrams, technical decision records, interface specifications, data flows, security models, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Mandatory Qualifications
  1. Minimum 15 years of information technology experience.
  2. Minimum 10 years of enterprise solution architecture experience.
  3. Minimum 7 years of Dynamics 365 CRM architecture experience.
  4. Experience delivering at least three enterprise Dynamics 365 CRM implementations, modernization initiatives, or major production releases.
  5. Experience designing and governing large-scale customer service, case-management, or citizen-service solutions.
  6. Experience designing enterprise integrations between Dynamics 365 CRM and external applications, cloud services, APIs, and enterprise repositories.
  7. Experience designing CRM security architectures including:
    • Authentication
    • Authorization
    • Auditing
    • Encryption
    • Field-level security
    • External-user access
    • Privacy controls
  8. Experience designing solutions supporting secure document management and evidence-management processes.
  9. Experience designing scalable architectures supporting large user populations, external users, and high transaction volumes.
  10. Experience with:
    • Dynamics 365 CRM
    • Dynamics 365 Customer Service
    • Public Sector Solutions
    • Dataverse
    • Azure Services
    • REST APIs
    • Microsoft Fabric integration patterns
    • Enterprise security frameworks
  11. Experience supporting production implementations, release governance, production readiness reviews, and operational support.
  12. Experience working within Agile delivery environments and multi-vendor teams.
  13. Experience working in Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, or other large public-sector organizations.
Mandatory Certifications
  1. Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)
  2. Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Preferred Qualifications
  1. TOGAF certification or demonstrated enterprise architecture experience.
  2. Experience with Government of Canada grants, benefits, health, insurance, or citizen-service platforms.
  3. Experience designing Dynamics 365 CRM solutions supporting large-scale public-facing programs.
  4. Experience integrating Dynamics 365 CRM with enterprise data and analytics platforms.
  5. Experience supporting security assessments, privacy impact assessments, accessibility reviews, and Authority to Operate processes.
  6. Experience with architecture modelling tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or equivalent architecture repositories.
