This is a remote position. To help our teams work together, you must be located in the US.
Your Future Team
The Loom infrastructure team is responsible for the foundational services that make Loom an amazing product. We place special focus on the reliability, performance, and developer experience of our tools.
We are looking for an accomplished and mission-aligned Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a background in running cloud services. You will lead the design and execution of our most critical projects. The infrastructure team has wide scope, and you will find challenging work across areas such as infrastructure tooling, network architecture, CI/CD pipelines, observability strategy, compute platform, and more. Your work will impact important initiatives by enabling engineers to deliver with velocity while adapting our architecture towards the needs of our video platform.
What you'll do

  • Deliver infrastructure that supports and scales with new product initiatives
  • Work across engineering to maintain the health and usability of our internal tools
  • Build and operate reliable services on AWS and Kubernetes
  • Lead our automation efforts using Go, Terraform, and Kubernetes
  • Resolve system bottlenecks while we scale to 10x-100x users
  • You will report into Loom's Infrastructure Manager


Your background

  • 3+ years of production experience with AWS
  • 3+ years of experience leading and implementing infrastructure projects
  • 2+ years of programming experience. We use Go and JavaScript at Loom
  • Track record in architecting and scaling distributed systems
  • Experience working in a Linux environment


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $140,600 - $187,400
Zone B: $126,500 - $168,700
Zone C: $116,700 - $155,600
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
