About the Role:
As the Senior Engineering Manager of Authentication & Trust Experience, you will lead the technical strategy and be a key product strategy partner for three core charters:
- Authentication Platform: Manage identity and authentication systems to deliver seamless, secure experiences across products. Ensure users can safely manage their identity within our ecosystem.
- Trust Experience Platform: Develop full-stack components and APIs that support identity verification, fraud prevention, and authentication systems.
- Transaction Monitoring: Manage systems that oversee AML vendor performance, regulatory reporting, and the implementation of controls to ensure regulatory standards.
Remitly's ability to scale future product offerings will depend on our Trust and Authentication capabilities. Customers and financial partners have high expectations for our products to be secure and compliant while still offering flexibility and excellent, seamless experiences. As the Senior Engineering Manager of these charters, you will define our technical roadmap and execution of this strategy. You will partner with product and business leadership to articulate a roadmap for your charters. You will hire and grow multiple engineering teams to build your vision. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager of Verifications as part of the Identity and Trust organisation.
You Will:
- Provide technical leadership and lead complex, long-term, cross-team engineering efforts.
- Manage the quality of your team's quality and output
- Mentor or facilitate mentorship for junior engineers on your team
- Partner with product managers to understand requirements, lead engineers who translate them into a roadmap, and ensure the engineering team delivers the expected outcome.
- Be responsible for execution, including quarterly goals, resource allocation, and prioritisation.
- Be a role model in upholding Remitly's cultural values and use them as a framework to mentor other engineers across the company to achieve their full potential.
- Partner with leadership to influence and drive organizational design, contribution and prioritization.
- Become an expert in our technical systems and codebases
- Unblock your engineering team and product partners through your bias for action and domain knowledge
You Have:
- A continued passion and curiosity for programming and technology
- You have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of recent experience hiring and managing technical teams, including performance management.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on technical management building full-stack software solution, API design, and interactions between servers and clients.
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $168,000-$210,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
