Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the broader Canada Finance Team by managing and coordinating various aspects of financial reporting and taxation through detail-oriented analysis, regulatory and compliance reporting, and knowledge of accounting systems and transactions.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate financial information, manage supporting schedules, and record transactions related to the monthly financial close for various components of the general ledger
  • Lead all aspects of reporting, returns, fillings and payments related to Canadian sales taxes
  • Monitor and manage intercompany royalties, charges, balances and settlements
  • Assist in the collection of financial information and liaison with the US based controllership, tax and finance teams across various business units
  • Lead preparation of quarterly management reporting and local financial statements
  • Support the FP&A team in certain aspects of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis


Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field of study
  • 3+ years of accounting, audit and/or tax experience, preferably within public accounting
  • CPA designation
  • Expertise in Reporting, GAAP, Financial Analysis, Accounting and related Financial processes.
  • Proven ability to drive efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Proficiency in modeling & analysis; above average Excel skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish trust quickly
