Our Role
As Ada’s Senior FP&A Analyst, you will report to the Senior Strategic Finance Manager to deliver analyses that support business performance reporting and the development of financial forecasts. You will work collaboratively across the business to connect key data sources and provide actionable insights into business decisions.
About You
- 4+ years of experience providing financial modelling and analysis.
- Highly proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong communication skills and can leverage financial analysis to provide a complete picture.
- You are looking to be in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn and grow.
- Prior experience working in a startup environment, particularly in SaaS
- Experience working with financial planning and accounting software
- Experience working with CRMs and data tools (eg. Salesforce, Looker)
Outcomes
- Financial Reporting & Metrics: Build, maintain, and enhance key financial metrics and reports, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Financial Forecasting: Support development of the annual budget and interim forecasts. Maintain and update the three-statement financial forecast model, supporting strategic decisions and providing insights into company performance.
- Variance Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of month-end variances, and work closely with department leaders to understand the root causes, recommending actionable insights.
- Month-End Close Support: Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-end close, including the collection of necessary data and ensuring alignment with forecast models.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments across the business to gather and integrate financial and non-financial data to develop strategic analysis and reporting.
- Board Materials Preparation: Assist in the preparation of materials for board meetings, ensuring key financial data is accurate and making connections to provide a picture of the business as a whole.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, leveraging automation and AI and optimizing workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Strategic Support & Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights to support various strategic initiatives. Perform other ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by leadership.
The expected salary range for this position is $95,500 - $117,000. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
