The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Human Resources (HR) Project Manager to support the growth of the HR Project Management Team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of an HR specific project management toolkit, as well as leading and executing various HR projects that support our overall business objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders across HR and the business to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive project plans
  • Identify potential risks and challenges, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project evaluations
  • Define success of a project and see through to completion

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather project requirements and expectations. 
  • Communicate project updates, manage expectations, and address concerns and risks effectively
  • Coach, guide and motivate stakeholders to move a project forward
  • Build relationships across HR to become a trusted resource in project management

Process Improvement:

  • Lead development of a Project Management Toolkit, customized to meet the needs of HR
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR programs and processes to improve efficiency

Change Management:

  • Support change management efforts associated with HR projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the business
  • Utilize change management toolkit to develop communication plans, training materials, and support resources to facilitate adoption of new processes and systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role, preferably within a corporate services environment  
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of HR practices, policies, and regulations
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus
