What it’s like to be a Northbridge Senior Indirect Tax Analyst

As part of our collaborative Taxation team , you’ll play a key role in managing our indirect tax and commodity tax compliance activities while acting as a trusted advisor across the organization. You’ll oversee monthly and annual tax compliance, ensure adherence to federal and provincial indirect tax legislation, support tax audits, and provide trusted tax advisory across the organization.

You will act as a subject matter expert for both business partners and senior leadership. This hybrid Toronto‑based role and collaborates closely with other leaders and our broader Finance and Reporting teams.

You have:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in indirect tax or commodity

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial indirect tax legislation, compliance requirements, and tax reporting

  • Experience within insurance, banking, or another regulated financial services environment is an asset

  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze data and support reporting requirements

  • CPA designation (or working toward it), a master's degree in taxation/finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $125,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
