THE ROLE:

• The Senior Manager, Billing and Payments Processing Optimization will drive end-to-end payment processing improvements, ensuring efficient transaction flows and cost-effective credit card and ACH processing. This role leads the optimization team, focusing on payment platform configurations, revenue capture, and cost-saving strategies. Collaborating with product, engineering, analysts, data scientists, and financial partners, this role will drive improved global payment performance for cards, bank accounts, digital wallets and local payment methods, delivering incremental savings and optimizing transaction-related KPIs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead ABC Fitness payment optimization strategies with a focus on getting each step of the payment journey right for our business and clients.
• Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to improve payment approval rates and pricing for Bank/ACH and Card payments.
• Implement authorization improvements and debit routing strategies. Drive cost-efficiency improvements for credit card processing.
• Ensure ABC Fitness is capturing revenue correctly and that the Commerce platform is configured and optimized for expected client member billing.
• Drive authorization improvements, debit least-cost routing, card tokenization strategies, and card network interchange fee optimization.
• Provide analysis and strategic recommendations for optimizing payment method capture, transaction data, account updater, payment gateway, retry strategies, authorization response handling, and timing to deliver optimal card processing and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, operations, and finance teams to prioritize initiatives over a multi-quarter roadmap, considering revenue/cost-saving potential, performance, and risks.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 7+ years in a payments or product-adjacent role, with a proven track record building and deploying highly impactful optimization programs
• Experience with subscriptions, invoicing, billing and payments, and deep understanding of the conversion, costs, and risk trade-offs.
• Demonstrated experience partnering closely with engineers, designers, and external partners to drive product and process improvements
• Ability to effectively communicate with and influence both user-facing and partner-facing stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for precise and concise articulation of user problems
• Analytical mindset, proven experience working cross-functionally to turn data insights into strategic decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with significant autonomy and responsibility.
• Strong business acumen and comfort with complex ecosystem and platform-level problems.
• Experience optimizing revenue outcome for an online and/or point-of-sale payments business
• Experience working with processing partners and networks from various geographies and markets.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only and based on employees in the United States and may be different in other countries. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for U.S. based candidates for this position is $107,500 -- $130,000 USD annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only and based on employees in the Canadian and may be different in other countries. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for Canada based candidates for this position is $105,500 -- $145,000 CAD annually. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.
