The Team: 

Upstart’s Growth Marketing team is in charge of expanding Upstart’s reach to the millions of Americans without access to affordable credit. We are energized by the prospect of breaking ground in our field and making a positive impact on people’s financial lives. In this role, you will be a part of our digital marketing team, driving both strategy and execution for Paid Social advertising. 

As a Digital Growth Marketing Manager / Sr. Manager, you are a proven ‘growth hacker’ with experience scaling marketing channels, driving experimentation, and understanding customer behavior and motivations. You thrive in dynamic environments, quickly leveraging data and insights to identify opportunities, test and optimize campaigns, and achieve ambitious growth targets. You’ll work alongside a Team of marketers who are data-driven, curious, kind, and highly motivated. 

 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Work with Growth leads to  develop and execute on Upstart’s digital growth strategy, and set channel KPIs
  • Manage campaigns  and own multi-million dollar budgets for Paid Social platforms (e.g., Meta) that generate  incremental scale and achieve business goals
  • Fuel Upstart’s growth by expanding into new products, customer segments, and advertising channels, as well as by identifying and executing opportunities across emerging platforms
  • Leverage strong analytical skills to track metrics, extract insights from large data sets, develop hypotheses, and run continuous experimentation
  • Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with stakeholders across the Growth Vertical to upgrade our marketing tech capabilities,  creative impact , and machine learning models 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 7+ years experience in highly quantitative business strategy / analytics field (such as finance, management consulting, startup / tech)
  • 2+ years experience in Growth Marketing minimum; 5+ years of marketing experience preferred in growth / performance marketing  (i.e. end-to-end campaign management, hypothesis-driven rapid testing, experience running campaigns on Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.)
  • Bias for action and strong sense of ownership, as well as the ability to excel in highly ambiguous, fast-paced business environments
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with proven track record of developing strategies that drive positive business outcomes
  • Proficiency in data analysis, excel, SQL, google sheets; preferred proficiency in advanced analytical tools such as R


Position location This role is available in the following locations: Remote

Time zone requirements The team operates on the East/West coast time zones.

Travel requirements: As a digital first company, the majority of your work can be accomplished remotely. The majority of our employees can live and work anywhere in the U.S but are encouraged to to still spend high quality time in-person collaborating via regular onsites. The in-person sessions’ cadence varies depending on the team and role; most teams meet once or twice per quarter for 2-4 consecutive days at a time.

At Upstart, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package.  The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location–with our “digital first” philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Individual pay is also determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

In addition, Upstart provides employees with target bonuses, equity compensation, and generous benefits packages (including medical, dental, vision, and 401k).

$129,500$179,300 USD
