Our state-of-the-art facility in Bloomington, Indiana provides a fully integrated model from process and formulation development to clinical and commercial biomanufacturing and drug product fill/finish and packaging. Bloomington's main campus has been recognized as Facility of the Year in both 2007 and 2017 by the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), INTERPHEX, and Pharmaceutical Processing magazine.
The Position
The position is responsible for leading the indirect spend category at the site including but not limited to Capital Equipment, Facilities Management, Utilities, Professional Services, MRO, Logistics, Lab Supplies and Services. Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement and develop strategic initiatives that will drive greater efficiencies, reduce supply chain risk and deliver cost savings for the business In addition, this role will evaluate our approved supplier list, work closely with our Corporate Procurement Function to develop synergy opportunities, lead supply chain sustainability programs, rationalize our supply base and execute initiatives that will deliver value to our stakeholders internally and externally to the site.

Essential Functions
- Implement and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs and develop robust Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for key strategic indirect suppliers.
- Participate and support all functions to execute sourcing initiatives in a timely manner while ensuring compliance to global procurement policies and procedures
- Establish key interfaces and build relationships with internal stakeholders including the site IFM Team to align on project goals
- Collaborate with functional leads to develop robust technical requirements and specifications for goods and services to support business needs
- Perform routine spend analysis to understand spend variance and identify cost reduction opportunities via collaboration with our Global Category Management Teams
- Support and provide input into the annual budget process through the identification of cost reduction opportunities or increased cost risks for the business
- Participate or lead cross-functional initiatives that help drive our business through sustainable and responsible business practices that brings value to our patients, shareholders and to the community
- Support the local projects in close collaboration with local teams and Global Procurement for supplier selection, negotiation, and contract implementation
- Support Global Procurement strategic initiatives
- Negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with contracts developed locally or globally
- Prepare various reports for cost savings tracking, supplier spend analysis and performance
- Manage and continually assess your teams' capabilities, support development growth and opportunities while providing the necessary training to be successful in their roles
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties

100% work scheduled based on-site at Bloomington, Indiana facility.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in business, finance, engineering, sciences, purchasing, or other related field, required
- Master's Degree, preferred
- CPSM / CIPM certification a plus
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience required
- Minimum of 7 years of purchasing experience required
- Global operations, finance, and matrix management experience preferred
- Quality, biologics, pharmaceutical and technical background, preferred
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry and GMPs a plus
- Demonstrated leadership, change management, strategic/tactical planning, project management, and analytical skills within a dynamic and fast paced environment, required
- Experience leading cross functional teams, processes and continuous improvement initiatives, required
