We are currently hiring for a Senior Measurement Engineer or Technologist in our Calgary AB or Fort Saint John BC office.
This role is responsible for providing senior level technical support to Enbridge’s BC Pipeline measurement assets and processes along with overseeing measurement designs and projects, supporting operations, and troubleshooting issues.

What You Will Do:

Provide senior Measurement, Gas Quality, Linebreak and Pressure Control and Overpressure (PC/OPP) subject matter expertise to Enbridge client groups including Measurement Engineering, Field Operations, Integrity, Gas Accounting and Projects.

Lead and oversee the design and Operation of new, upgraded, reactivated and/or deactivated meters stations and PC/OPP to ensure they meet regulatory requirements, specifications/standards, and best practices.

Plan and ensure annual completion of the Measurement Canada High and Low Intervention regulatory requirements, in cooperation with Measurement Engineering, Field Measurement and Asset Data Management.

Support Enbridge Lost & Unaccounted For (LUF) management to ensure tolerances are maintained.

Provide day-to-day technical and troubleshooting support to resolve equipment and measurement data issues in a timely manner.

Act as a subject matter expert for various vendor supplied devices such as meters, analyzers, EFM/RTU, Linebreak, PC/OPP systems, etc.

Develop, execute and enforce the gas quality program including standards, procedures, coordination & reporting.

Provide deep senior technical expertise and coordinate small teams to ensure work is completed to meet design and/or regulatory requirements within budget and allocated timelines.

Enhances reliability and efficiency through evaluation of new equipment and technologies, review of equipment performance, and lifecycle planning of Operations replacement/upgrade projects.
Who You Are:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or applicable technical certification in subject area, or a combination of technical education and related experience.

7-10 years of related engineering or technical experience.

Experience with measurement equipment in the natural gas industry would be an asset.

Excellent knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g. CSA, AGA, API, GPA)

Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. OPR & Measurement Canada Regulations).

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, partnerships with key stakeholders and influence without authority.

Expertise with industrial controllers used in measurement applications, such as Bristol ControlWave and FB1200/FB3000.

Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, coordination and presentation skills.
Working Conditions:

This role is office-based but may require travel to field locations across North America to ensure operations and project support is delivered successfully.

Periodic time commitments outside of regular office hours may be required.
