About the Team

The mission of the business strategy & analytics team is to ensure the entire company understands business performance and trends, and to empower all business teams to make good decisions with data. 


We are seeking a talented Senior Product Analyst to join our business strategy & analytics team, a role that will enable the growth of both our subscriptions and ads based businesses. This role focuses on refining our SEO strategies to boost traffic and subscriber acquisition and measuring the impacts of highly cross functional efforts to continue to deliver the most relevant titles and user generated content (UGC) to our growing global user base.

You are a strategic thinker who can balance big-picture objectives with attention to detail, and you possess a natural curiosity to explore complex problems and find innovative solutions.


You Will:

Collaborate with the product team to develop and execute data-driven experiments and A/B tests, focusing on SEO initiatives.

Conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, conversion rates, and website performance to identify growth opportunities and inform product optimization strategies.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders based on statistical analysis and data interpretation.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track and communicate critical KPIs and performance metrics.

Work closely with stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports and dashboards to inform decision-making.

Work closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate data collection and instrumentation, providing guidance on tracking implementation and data integrity.

Collaborate with the data engineering team to refine and enhance data infrastructure and architecture to support advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.

Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and product marketing, to drive the implementation of data-driven solutions and recommendations.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SEO practices, analytics tools, and statistical methodologies


You Have:

3+ years of experience in product analytics, preferably in the SEO domain.

Expert knowledge of statistical concepts and methodologies, including experimental design, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science.

Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, R, Looker, or similarSolid understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link building.

Strong business acumen and the ability to connect analytical insights to business objectives.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate analysis within tight deadlines.

At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States.


In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $107,500 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $174,250 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California]. 


In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $89,000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $165,500 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California]. 


In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $111,500 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $165,000 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market]. 


We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership, and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
