About the role

We are now opening a new frontier: China. To lead this expansion from a product standpoint, we're looking for a Senior Product Manager based in China who deeply understands the local market, users, and digital ecosystem, and who can act as the on-the-ground product lead for Fever's entry and growth in the country, working in close daily collaboration with our global Product organization based in Madrid.

This is a founding-team-style role: you'll be shaping not just features, but how Fever shows up in China from day one.

What you will do
  • Own the product vision and roadmap for Fever's China market entry, grounded in first-hand knowledge of local users, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Act as Fever's local product voice, gathering market intelligence, user insight, and partner feedback directly from the Chinese ecosystem and channelling it into product decisions.
  • Break down broad market-entry opportunities into concrete, measurable, sequenced actions.
  • Analyze product and market performance, hypothesize, test, and continuously improve product metrics with a China-specific lens.
  • Develop product features from ideation to release, factoring in local payment methods, super-app integrations (WeChat, Alipay), and regulatory requirements specific to China.
  • Build local partnerships and relationships (venues, promoters, platforms) that inform and unlock product opportunities.
  • Build and communicate a compelling vision and go-to-market strategy for Fever in China, gathering support from both local stakeholders and global leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of expertise on China-specific product, partnership, regulatory, and localization decisions.
About you

Basic skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, with meaningful exposure to the Chinese consumer tech or entertainment/ticketing landscape.
  • High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and high proficiency in business English (both mandatory), as you'll work daily with a China-based ecosystem and a Madrid-based global team.
  • Deep, current, hands-on familiarity with the Chinese digital ecosystem and consumer behavior (see below).
  • Proven experience managing ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies within a product development cycle.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and design teams, including remote/distributed teams across time zones.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills,  the ability to derive conclusions from data and clearly communicate findings is critical.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects from concept to completion, often with limited local precedent to draw on.
  • Curiosity and desire to learn, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and ways of working.
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive, in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Persistence and a whatever-it-takes approach to ensure your product and team succeed.

Preferred skills and qualifications — China market expertise

  • Hands-on experience building or managing products within the Chinese super-app ecosystem (WeChat/Douyin/Alipay Mini Programs).
  • Strong working knowledge of Chinese payment rails (including but not limited to WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay) and how they shape checkout and product design.
  • Direct competitive knowledge of ticketing, OTA, and entertainment discovery platforms in China (e.g., Damai, Maoyan, Meituan, Dianping, Trip.com/Fliggy, Douyin's local commerce features).
  • Experience with live-streaming and social commerce dynamics (Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, Taobao Live, etc.) and their role in event discovery and marketing.
  • Solid understanding of China-specific regulatory and compliance requirements for ticketing and live events, including real-name registration, ID/facial verification, and anti-scalping ("huangniu") enforcement.
  • Familiarity with China's data protection framework (PIPL), ICP & EDI licensing considerations, and local hosting/infrastructure requirements.
  • Experience working with KOL/KOC marketing ecosystems and designing product features around referrals, social sharing, and group-buying (pintuan) mechanics.
  • Technically fluent; comfortable discussing architectural trade-offs with engineering, particularly around China-specific infrastructure constraints.
  • Experience in tech startups, ideally with exposure to building a product or business from scratch in China.
  • Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning market-entry strategy from limited initial data.
  • Ability to earn trust across different levels and multiple groups of a global, culturally diverse organization.
  • Proven experience hypothesizing, building lean validations, running A/B tests, and defining metrics tailored to a new market.
Benefits & Perks
  • Attractive compensation package consisting of base salary and the potential to earn a significant bonus for top performance.
  • Stock options.
  • Opportunity to have a real impact in a high-growth global category leader
