What You’ll Be Doing

Join CIBC’s ECRM Enablement team as a Senior Product Owner supporting Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC). In this role, you will lead strategic initiatives that modernize our CRM capabilities, optimize frontline productivity, and deliver exceptional client experiences. You’ll act as a trusted partner across business and technology teams, translating vision into actionable delivery while championing agile practices. 

 

At CIBC we enable the work environment, most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. 

How you’ll succeed 

  • Own the product vision & roadmap - Define and communicate a clear product vision for FSC, ensuring alignment with CIBC’s enterprise architecture and business objectives. 

  • Lead backlog management - Create and maintain a prioritized backlog that reflects strategic priorities, customer needs, and technical feasibility. 

  • Translate strategy into action - Convert high-level business goals into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring readiness for development. 

  • Drive agile delivery - Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other agile ceremonies to enable efficient and predictable delivery. 

  • Collaborate across functions - Partner with stakeholders in Wealth, Retail, Technology, Data, and Operations to deliver FSC capabilities such as client onboarding, relationship management, and integrated workflows. 

  • Ensure compliance & governance - Adhere to enterprise controls for data privacy, consent management, and regulatory compliance throughout delivery. 

  • Mentor & influence - Provide guidance to Product Owners and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 

  • Strategic thinking – You balance short-term delivery with long-term vision, ensuring scalability and sustainability. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement – You build strong relationships and influence outcomes through clear communication and collaboration. 

  • Technical Acumen – You understand Salesforce FSC capabilities and can translate business needs into technical requirements. 

  • Agile Leadership – You champion agile principles and practices, driving efficiency and adaptability. 

 

Who You Are 

  • You can demonstrate 4 to 6 years of work experience in product ownership, CRM delivery, or digital transformation. Proven ability to write user stories, manage backlogs, and prioritize competing demands. 

  • You can demonstrate 4 to 6 years of work experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud; Salesforce certifications are an asset. Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem trends and integration patterns. 

  • You are a Salesforce expert and can demonstrate deep knowledge and work experience of Salesforce platforms (FSC, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Loyalty) and integration patterns. It's an asser to have experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and/or Salesforce certifications.

  • You're an agile champion – Proven track record of leading agile teams and delivering complex programs in enterprise environments. 

  • You can demonstrate 2 to 4 years of work experience building consensus and influencing stakeholders of varying levels to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Your influence makes a difference. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by sharing your expertise.

  • You prioritize client needs and deliver solutions that enhance their experience.
