Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”), a growing oil & gas facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one role as Senior Project Manager - 20+ years of experience.

Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical I&C engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services and construction management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of EPCM projects involving cryogenic gas processing facilities and modularized gas plant facilities, including coordination of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Apply a strong understanding of cryogenic gas process facilities/modularized gas plant facilities, equipment, piping, utilities, and associated infrastructure to effectively manage project execution.
  • Provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services on behalf of clients, acting as the primary interface between the client, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain project controls, reporting systems, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and change management processes.
  • Monitor contractor performance against contractual requirements, project milestones, budget, and quality standards.
  • Lead project meetings, progress reviews, technical coordination meetings, and management reporting with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Direct and utilize Project Engineers and discipline SMEs.
  • Coordinate through the design/drafting group - PFD’s, P&IDs, Plot Plans, Isometrics and GA’s.
  • Understand and work in accordance with Acero’s and clients’ HSE rules and regulations.
  • Follow Acero’s established operating procedures and protocols (including strict adherence to the Staff Handbook).
  • Other tasks/responsibilities, as required
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 20 years as a “Project Engineer” and/or “Project Manager” in Oil and Gas Facilities in Western Canada and/or internationally
  • Must have strong experience with Cryogenic gas plants, modular gas plants, and PMC experience
  • Strong technical skills and working knowledge of discipline-specific skills, codes and standard practices such as; Directive 55, Directive 56, ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, ASME Section 8, API 650,12 F,610 etc.
  • Understanding and working effectively with Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Bluebeam
  • Excellent team collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients
