Lead a high-impact transformation shaping the future of capital markets technology.
The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support a major modernization transformation for our Capital Markets client. You will lead the Business Case phase of a complex, multi-year initiative, overseeing Current State Refresh, Detailed Requirements, High-Level Design, Conversion Strategy, and Data Modelling. This role requires someone who can guide teams through ambiguity, establish structure, and drive delivery excellence to prepare for the subsequent execution phase.
What You’ll DoOversee end-to-end delivery of the Business Case phase, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and workstreams
Lead Current State Refresh, Detailed Requirements gathering, and High-Level Design activities
Define and manage the Conversion Strategy and Data Modelling approach for modernization
Establish delivery governance, RAID management, project reporting, and scope control
Partner closely with technology and business teams to enable a smooth transition into the execution phase
Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes within capital markets
Strong expertise in requirements definition, solution design leadership, and complex stakeholder management
Ability to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to ambiguous and evolving environments
Experience with data-heavy programmes involving data modelling, migration, or conversion
A collaborative, inclusive leadership style that builds trust and drives accountability
Experience working on modernization or platform refresh initiatives within trading, clearing, or post-trade
Background in consulting or leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams
Familiarity with target operating model design and business case development
Understanding of enterprise data architecture principles
Exposure to both agile and hybrid delivery approaches
Deliver high-impact transformation for Tier 1 financial institutions
