Make Your Mark:
The Senior Value Architect, on the North America SAP CoE team, will support sales & service efforts working closely with product and marketing to close large deals. They must possess deep expertise in the BlackLine product, finance operating models, industry standards, regulations, emerging trends, competitor capabilities/limitations, and finance transformation. In addition, they must be able to capture pain points, prioritize objectives, and gain cross-functional alignment on the recommended solution, roadmap and go to market strategy. They will also be responsible for enablement of the Sales and Presales regionally as well as other internal enablement on SAP and Industry related topics. They will be on point for Business Value Assessments (BVA's) with our larger clients and prospects.
You'll Get To:

  • Supporting Sales: The Senior Value Architect will work closely with BlackLine Sales, Pre Sales, Product and Services throughout the entire deal lifecycle. They will lead the in-depth discovery and engagement aspects of the pursuit through to the final proposal and statement of work.
  • The Senior Value Architect will lead the BlackLine effort for complex BoM deals and interaction with Strategic, Key accounts will be a focus to drive large deals sizes and transaction volumes
  • Direct responsibility for Solution Consulting support for complex/large deals. Includes personally participating in the demonstration and other customer facing presentations
  • Develop relationships with Industry Professional and other relevant industry specific resources.
  • Business Value Assessments: The Senior Value Architect is responsible for leading Business Value workshops and completing Business Cases that include ROI analysis and Implementation project plans.
  • Go-to-Market Assets: The Senior Value Architect will own the ongoing development of our playbook within specified industries. In addition, they will lead the ongoing training to our broader community of Solution Consultants. Working closely with Product, Marketing and Services they will assist in the development of other assets (e.g., workshop enablers, use cases, competitive comparisons, sales/partner training, whitepapers, webcasts, etc.) and help with evangelizing our product.
  • The Senior Value Architect will need to understand and learn all BlackLine product lines and focus on Value Selling to the prospects and client base.
  • Hands-on: The Senior Value Architect is expected to roll up their sleeves and fill gaps where necessary to make the product successful for our clients.


What You'll Bring:

  • 4 year degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 10+ years combined experience in Accounting/Finance, Finance Transformation and Financial Systems related positions
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with prospects/clients
  • Proven ability to translate prospective client objectives into solutions enabled by our product
  • Experience selling and managing large transformational projects at strategic accounts
  • Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations and product demonstrations
  • Previous experience as a consultant focused on process improvement and technology enablement
  • High degree of BlackLine product knowledge (Implementation, System Administration or Project Management)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Salary Range:
USD $111,000.00 - USD $148,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
