The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a pragmatic environment — able to reduce scope intelligently, mentor junior developers, and design maintainable, efficient solutions that deliver value quickly. You’ll be part of a supportive, inclusive team that values collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement, working with ownership and accountability while fostering a culture of empathy, inclusivity, and continuous learning.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and implement efficient, maintainable systems aligned with business needs

  • Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance through testing, reviews, and best practices

  • Work within and extend existing architectural patterns for seamless integration

  • Write clear documentation to support deployment, maintenance, and knowledge sharing

  • Participate in code reviews, demos, and sprint reviews, contributing to engineering excellence

  • Mentor engineers, sharing best practices and guiding technical decisions

  • Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into reliable, scalable solutions

  • Proactively seek opportunities to reduce scope or streamline development without losing user value

What We’re Looking For:
  • Extensive years of backend development experience with production-grade systems

  • Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails, NodeJS is a plus.

  • Experience as a technical lead on projects where you’ve broken down requirements, created technical documentation and led refinement sessions.

  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and serverless patterns

  • Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical directions

  • Ability to make smart trade-offs and simplify complexity without losing quality

  • Pragmatic mindset focused on performance, maintainability, and readability

  • Clear communicator with strong documentation skills

  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional experience

  • Open to learning new technologies and languages

  • Engineer who is self driven and takes initiative 

  • Bonus: familiarity with TypeScript, React, Angular, Golang, GraphQL, Kafka.
